Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

Tint definitely is a problem for the 3592. My old 765 is not affected by the Volvo windscreen which is coated/tinted.

With no input jack for external antenna, if you have reception problem especially in the city area, the only solution is a powered re-radiating antenna.

try this powered antenna! Works for my 3592 after a few frustrating weeks of poor signal and accuracy.

Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

A final update on this set and issue. A side by side comparison with another 3592 (and my old 765) was done in my car. The poor reception is confirmed to be inherent to the 3592 set as it is very sensitive to placement location and even orientation. I finally managed to find my own solution with a p...

Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

An update after another 2 weeks. The importer AB is still blaming my car for the problem. Told them I have 310 and 765 and even my mobile phone GPS apps in the same car giving me 5 or 6 metre accuracy. How can they blame the car for an inferior or faulty product. They refuse to open up a new set to ...

Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

Another update on this set. Tried adding a powered re-radiating antenna but same problem of poor accuracy and lost signals persists. It seems to be very sensitive to any solar film or solar glass. Anyone planning to purchase it is advised to try an actual set in his/her car first before buying. Alth...

Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

Yes that is one option I am considering if it is not a faulty unit/software bug.

The main point is the unit should work right out of the box, and should improve over older sets for this most important function.

Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

An update on this device after using it for a few days: The accuracy seems very poor. Typically I could get only 25m - 40m when the car is moving, (and it does not have an input for external antenna), compared to 5m I can get on my 765 (with external antenna, or about 10m without). This is unaccepta...

Re: The nüvi 3592LM SG/MY

I just bought this afternoon from PW at SLS - $460 if you pay cash. Been trying out for an hour or so. Good points: It runs on Android and has WiFI, so you can download very useful apps like SG Traffic Cam to check on traffic conditions or Car Park availability instead of fumbling for your mobile ph...

Re: The Nuvi 765 - Part 2

i just bought a 765 yesterday and updated the software last night. However, after updating, the small icon indicating the distance to the next turning and the small arrow indicating direction to turn are now missing. (was there before teh update) And the bluetooth does not support Address book (with...
