You are only considering the Etrex30? Have you considered the Etrex20? Electronic compass is quite a draw on battery power, so a normal compass should work fine. Also, the Etrex20 gives a useable altitude log when inside an airliner.

I just tried the Marshall's Burger shop in Penang. I tried the one in Burma Road. I tried the basic one and the taste is very good. Next time, I will try the other meats and combos.

Just saw news that Steve Jobs of Apple Computers has just passed away today. Sad news.
For me, he made such a great improvement in handheld devices.
