Re: GPS on HTC Touch Diamond

From reports on other fora, Garmin Mobile XT runs perfectly on the Diamond. You should be able to use the maps from here once you have got Garmin Mobile XT .

Re: Our days are numbered ?

Until there's a high quality commercial map, there will always be a site like MSM. To date, Teleatlas, the only competitor of note, has a very limited data of POI etc outside the cities. Malsingmaps supplements this very nicely. In Australia, the commercial map provider, Sensis, is also the owner of...

Re: Petrol Price Up Tonight MIDNIGHT

Thank you to the federal government for the price increase. Still cheap in comparison. Petrol here in Oz is AUD 1.65/l for RON 92, and AUD 1.75 for ROM 95 today. At 3 to 1 to the ringgit, I'm cycling now. PS - Petrol was around the GBP 1.00 per litre when visiting UK last October. Hate to see what ...

Re: Request for POI availability on its own

Figured that out. As Mapsource will permit 200 POI at a time, will have to it in batches! Got to burn some candles the next few nights! Edit: Not a viable option. Waypoints can be easily found, but each and every one needs to be clicked to be converted to a waypoint, and then exported. Will die of R...

Huh? Didn't know that was an option. Will have a go at it! \:D/

Edit - Can't locate the export/save POI. Seems to have options for maps, tracks and waypoints. Any help? Will be reading the manual tonight!

Re: Request for POI availability on its own

Sigh. Will wait patiently (not all that optimistic) for the mappers then!

On second thought, any means of extracting the POIs from the current maps - saw a few reference to it in the old forum, but unable to follow the trail due to broken links etc?

Request for POI availability on its own

Just a request for moderators and councilors. Is it possible to get the POI on its own? Updates to maps and POIs here are far superior to those available for other programs or commercial versions. In my case, I like iGo8. However, its POI is woeful. I have imported the POI from iGo2006, but it still...
