Re: LTA Live Traffic Advisor from East Gear

Don't think it's for Garmin range as in order to get live feed, you will need either wireless or GPRS. In any case you can always get info from one motoring web site through GPRS on PDA or phone., or via any of the Mobile Broadband. I think via SMS as well. It will only be useful when it's integrate...

LTA Live Traffic Advisor from East Gear

Saw the advert from East Gear on today's newspaper regarding LTA Live Traffic advisor. From the small print it seems to be a simple extract of One Motoring website at http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/on_the_roads/traffic_news.html But if this is integrated into either Garmin or M...

Re: Nissan Smart Screen Navigation System to Mapking

It runs Agis. No idea whet the operating system. There was a thread by some dude trying to install Windows CE on the box but didn't hear from him since. But you will need to handle driver for the GPS module as well as touch screen module. Don't think it's worth it. May be better off to get a GVN-53 ...

Re: Course File for Bicycle Trip round the East of Singapore

I did the round trip park connector today as well. Started from Siglap towards bedok, tampines, pasir ris, changi, east coast and back to siglap. Took me about 2.5 hours as the last leg from changi to east coast was against wind and quite siong. Total is about 40+km. A very nice trail especially the...

MIcrosoft Live Map do routing in Singapore with frialy good

Have not visited Microsoft Live Map for a while and seems like they have make quite a improvement for Singapore maps. You can do routing and search for address with fairly good detail.

Re: cefiro 2006 GPS

I'm driving a Nissan as well (MPV though) which during the purchase I opt out the AGIS GPS system as I was told they charge S$80 per update. I understand it's a small PC with ITX board, you will need to take care of the GPS driver, touch screen driver etc. If you are techie and like challenges, I :p...

Re: Digital TV in the Klang Valley

Apparently we had something similar like this in singapore too.... But the hassle of turning on the laptop, setting it up on the dashboard while driving, and watching TV at the same time, sure will get me into a whole lot of trouble with the polis..... ](*,) So i was wondering if this ga...
