Hi Sammy, Please post the instructions to load the 2009.3 map into the Kenwood unit. I've tried it following the 3rd option with an SD card but keep getting the locked map message...

Re: Kenwood DNX 7100 - Part 2

After many unsuccessful tries, I managed to update my Kenwood DNX 7200 firmware to v1.09. I use a pen and press the reset button on the set.... Presto! It works! Took about 5-6 mins for the updating processs. The album artwork now works for Ipod Classic, except that the resolution is quite bad....w...

Re: Kenwood DNX7100 - Tuner Settings

Sorry, type, its the SRC button on the front face of the unit, not the remote. Did not mention that its instruction for the 7039 but both units are similar.

Re: Kenwood DNX7100 - Tuner Settings

Saw this in the owner's manual to change the tuning freq interval. Hold the volume down button (down arrow button) and the SRC button and momentarily press the reset button (the small hole at the bottom next to the ATT button. Release the buttons when the display comes back on. The tuning interval t...

Re: Kenwood DNX7100

chinsk, Good point. Cost is a first consideration. Also, I'm not a dealer. Believe the major cost is the gps unit and the map becoz of low volumes here. Have no idea what is the cost, mine came with the car, but I wonder if its possible not to take the Garmin map. Also suspect that prices may be low...

Re: Kenwood DNX7100

Should stop buying the 7100. Get the 7039 + KNA-G430 GPS accessory which includes the Garmin Singapore-Malaysia map. This works with the Malsingmap.

Its available in Singapore and should be the same in M'sia.

Re: tracking relative that suffer from demential

You could try the Navfone feature which allows you to locate someone.

Not sure exactly how it works. Check out

http://www.navfone.com/nokia/

You'll still have to figure how to keep the fone on the person all the time.
