I believe that the Jobo PhotoGPS is using the flash hotshoe EXIF information to tally the photos and the GPS coordinate.

The Geotate solution uses a server to calculate the GPS location unlike the usual datalogger.

There's no need to sync the camera time with GPS time on the Geotate/jobo PhotoGPS like a conventional datalogger. HTH. Yes, since the P6000 has a built in GPS unit, I'm sure the camera time will sync automatically with the satellites. Not so for a separate GPS unit like the Geotate/Jobo PhotoGPS fo...
