Atlantic Canada

This is a true road trip. Earlier this month, we did a 7,000km drive from Hamilton, Ontario, to Atlantic Canada (the Maritimes) and back, stopping at worthy spots along the way. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Avs7FdWOtLY/Tgguv25sOUI/AAAAAAAAK4U/Q4AV9E8uHFU/Fullscreen%252520capture%25252027062011...

Re: Tumpat - the End of the Line

Sorry for very late rep...

Re: E25 LATAR Highway Tracked, mapped and JCV'ed

Did LATAR today for usual seafood lunch at Kuala Selangor (from top end of GCE to K Selangor, only 30min). One of the boringest drive ever -- it's a characterless thoroughfare. :)

Re: Darjeeling

In the town of Ghum, the little Himalayan 'Toy Train' virtually runs 'in' the market. Out of the way! http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/221894_218391781510863_100000201284539_1009501_2692625_n.jpg A little girl can't stand the noise of the Toy Train as it virtually passes at her house's...

Re: Darjeeling

A couple of HD vids of the famed Darjeeling Himalayan 'Toy Train' running on the 2-ft gauge. It's a World Heritage Site.

The main mosque in Darjeeling, biggest and oldest, 19th century. Flooring and ceiling wooden. There are 2 other mosques here. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/208119_218186841531357_100000201284539_1007768_6443162_n.jpg Along the corridor of the Darjeeling Mosque, I greet a soft-spoken...

Darjeeling

On the road to Darjeeling 15/04/11 -- a long journey from Kolkata, via train and bad mountain roads. We're at 2,200m above sea level in a remote northeastern corner of India, surrounded by Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, China and Bangladesh. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/221669_218126271537...
