Re: Garmin can't find any roads

Hmm... I hope the thread starter will not take this advise seriously, as the issue here has nothing to with "older" technology. The Nuvi 200 should be able to use Malsingmaps without such issues. @Mirakan1, as advised by Bro Wsian, it must've something to do with the way you search for an address. A...

Re: Newbie Saying Hello to MSM [Post your HELLO here] Part 2

Hi, welcome to the forum. And here's a tip: The supplementary map folder in Nuvi1xxx series is Nuvi:\ Map folder. This folder is usually not available in Nuvi by default, so just create a New Folder and label it as Map . Moreover, the IMG files within this folder do not have to adhere to strict nami...

But when I was in Iskandar, power was purely from batteries. It also turned off by itself.

Re: GPSmap 78 series

Sifu Bern, do you happen to use a car charger or an external power? I had a bad experience using it. Somehow some track logs are lost when the unit is repeatedly turned on and off along with the car ignition. I'm not sure if this bug has been resolved but I stopped using the car charger ever since.

Re: garmin gps 76 usb driver

Garmin GPS76 does not accept map data except POI data, so I don't think MSM v3.xx map is transferable to this model. First of all, can you confirm that your Garmin model is GPS76? If so, looking at the specs , apparently it does not accept map data except POI data. Nevertheless, you can try acquire ...

You mean there is no device:\Garmin\GPX\Archive folder? Or there is no old GPX there? AFAIK, all archived tracks are saved here. Nevertheless, this is based only on my experience using the Dakota.

Re: GPSmap 78 series

Initial comment. No unlimited track logging like the older 76CSx/76Cx. Older tracks disappear. They do not "disappear", but rather auto-archived in the archived GPX folder. New track file started after turning the set off. Unlike the old one which saves the tracks based on dates. From firmware v2.5...

Re: Multiple copies of MSM cannot be recognized on Garmin?

Nevertheless, there should not be any problem enabling all maps if they are maps of different regions (except for maps that share common border).
