Re: Garmin - General Discussion - Part 4

I think there are too few cheap bastards like me around :butthead: I tend to think of it as creation or DIY and I have seen in some other thread, unclediy rigged his bike mount with his kid's toys. And for this kind of creation, it should be at the same level as other hobbies as well. =D> Don't try...

Re: Garmin - General Discussion - Part 4

udaloy, maybe you should start a new thread or something in the hobbies section (or is it in there already?)and post all your DIY jobs and photos. It would be interesting to see the rest of the Malsingmaps members DIY creation in the thread. =D> :good:

Re: Garmin - General Discussion - Part 3

I fully understand why some people do not like to put sticky things on their toys but sometimes, you have to do it, you have to do it with some improvisation. Be warned that I'm a cheap bastard. Here are the DIY acrylic holders for my eTrex, and my Nuvi. One mounting for all platforms. =D> Now, thi...

Re: Garmin - General Discussion - Part 3

It didn't occur to me that you setup could be so crude. I thought it was some kind of holder utilizing the velcro technology. Sounds easy to install but like you said, you will be having one part of the velcro sticking under your phone. #-o Thanks but no thanks!

Mind taking more pictures of your velcro? Looks interesting.

Re: Anwar arrested, again!

Maybe they are escorting him to the police station? And some news reporter decided to blow it out of proportion by mentioning the work 'tahan' (arrested).

Re: Anybody from Langkawi?

I have a bad experience once with the car rental tout outside the ferry terminal. Sorry guys, I forgot the name but it was near the ticket counter which offers tour package as well. I thought I had a 'good' deal with a Sentra and before I left the parking lot, I noticed that the glove box cover was ...

Re: The Nuvi 205W

So this Trip Log is very different from the Track Log, found the the handhelds such as the etrex or GPSMAP series. In the handhelds, each track can be individually logged, and recalled. Furthermore, different colors can be chosen to differentiate each track. :D can this trip log be saved and downlo...

Re: Help-Regarding GPS Coordinate Format

Hi, I'm using GMXT on my S60 now and was trying to scrounge for the coordinates of the location which I was in, but could not find it. Can anyone advise me on where I can locate the coordinate information please? Thanks in advance. Go to 'Tools', 'Where Am I', and it will show you the locations plu...
