Noah wrote:I didn't know this. What needs to be done for Symbian Garmin maps, Trajet?
bro Noah, sometime back for custom garmin map which does not use the correct code page would get road names truncated for GMXT symbian user.

Re: Tracks4Australia map

this is a well known fact.

GMXT on Windows Mobile can display Garmin or custom made Garmin maps properly.

As for GMXT on Symbian, no problem with Garmin maps but for custom made Garmin maps, the map need to be configured for GMXT Symbian or else you will get truncated names display.

(600Mbps). hopefully there will be another higher speed wifi standards coming up in the near fu...

bro bross use garmin webupdater. sometimes you have to initiate the update more than once. Its good to have good broadband connection and full battery in your 60Cx when updating.

bro bernGPS the 'dummy' method you mentioned is the way to go. I have since use this way without any problem. Done properly, this method will definitely avoid loading incompatible software/firmware into your unit.

Re: Garmin cannot work in other countries?

Also, is "Integrated GPS" the same as "Assisted GPS"? Cos mine is "Assisted", and is working well in Australia only. My dad's could probably be the same, I didn't check. Integrated means, direct GPS signal into your device GPSr. FOC. Assisted GPS means, getting GPS data information by using your GP...

Re: Garmin cannot work in other countries?

Hello, this is quite a weird problem. My phone is from Australia, and works perfectly well with Australian maps in it using Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.10. But when I put in Malaysian maps and try using it in Kuala Lumpur (service provider: Digi) the GPS doesn't work at all! No signal, even after waiting...
