Hi,

Can we show what we are seeing in our PDA screen into an external LCD screen which have only a RCA input? Anyone tried that before?

I'm running on AUSS P535.

Firstly check if your PDA supports such function, if it does, there should be a adaptor and cable for the purpose. And the input type of the screen usually depends on the type of adaptor available.

For another purpose, you can use Microsoft's Remote Display Control to view and control your PDA from your PC. Here:-

As Brother Civiv98 says, you will need to check if ASUS has capability to support external monitor or third party hardware. A friend of mine uses the Colorgraphic Voyager adapter which is a Type I CF-Card to connect your Pocket PC to an external monitor. There is also a USB version available. He bought during a previous PC show in Singapore. See picture

If your PDA has an SD card slot like my Treo 650, one end plugs to it and the other end direct to input of monitor ( VGA port ). The appropriate driver is loaded to your PDA and viola ... external monitor mode .... No need for PC.

I do not know if a RGB version exists as per your mention of RCA port. You will need to check with hardware manufacturer of the accessory.

I researched this possiblity before. There are a few ways to bring the PDA video to a biggger screen but not effective. I abandoned the idea. Also all the aftermarket parts have compatiility problems, and difficult to buy and expensive.

My current idea is for a Car PC, or easier still, a HP Tablet PC in the car with touch screen, running Garmin Nroute or Mapking PC. Large screen will be available..
