Hi, I just got a HTC Touch Diamond 2. Does it really have a GPS built in? If yes, what software and maps is recommended for use in it?

Also, I am going over to Australia end of the year and it would be nice if I could load an Aussie map (free if possible) for use there. Anyone can help?

Your phone should have internal GPS receiver. Maybe you can check which GPS brand is more popular in Australia. But I think Garmin should be one of them.

hi guys new to this forum, im wanting to run malsingmaps when i come back for a holiday on my htc touch diamond 2, i currently have tom tom on there which i have deleted but i duno how i can find a program to run malsingmaps on it. i tried mobile xt but i think you have to pay for it and onli get a trial for the time being. can any one help me with installing a gps program on this phone? much help appricated thanks

Sorry, there is no free navigation software for mobile devices that can read MSM map. While a long time ago when the map format was not yet in NT (or NT-like) format, Garmin Que is freely available and able to use MSM, but now you either need Garmin Mobile XT (free to use if you pair it with Garmin BT GPS receiver, but need to buy, if you pair with other non-Garmin receivers incl. those built-in ones), or Mapking.
