i also faced the same problem before, but i came out with my own step to overcome that problem but not sure whether it will works for all PDA. Just try this

1. execute GPSProxy first
2. Start ur bluetooth manager

bcos if i start my bluetooth manager first, most likely i will get "virtual com port not loaded" problem after i execute GPSProxy. BUT after i follow the above steps, no more problem

have you tried using other com ports? maybe you're running some apps that's also using the com port.

The last time i had some problem with com port was having MS Voice Command installed. I wonder why it uses com port for.

Shut down is exactly opposite to powering up. Last on, first off principle in shut down. First power off Que, Menu/Exit then Yes.
Then power off GPSProxy, Menu/Exit.
Finally turn off the Bluetooth on your PDA then power off your BT GPSr.

Depending on your CPU speed, you may need to be patience with the process as urthex had recommended.

Yes comport conflict can also give you the same type of problem. What are your comport settings?
