Help - Connecting MobileXT + GPS10X to HTC Touch2

#2 Post by freelancer » Mon Nov 09, 2009 8:54 pm

My GPS10x + Mobile XT works fine on an iPaq6828 running WM5. Recently purchased an HTC Touch2 and installed Mobile XT. However the application cannot find the GPS10X over bluetooth. The bluetooth device menu shows the GPS10X, I even managed to pair the GPS10X to Touch2 but MobileXT application on the HTC does not seem to be able to find the GPS10X.

Quite strange I think and I suspect I must be missing something on WM6.5 or the HTC itself.

The HTC Touch2 come with an integrated GPS.
Have you tried set to the integrated GPS instead of the bluetooth attached device?

this is the geographic latitude / longtitunal coordinates. there are different formats, use one appropriate else your co-ordinates will be off-set from one who uses a different format.

2)looking tru the forum but i still cant find the ans.

mapking maps need to pay for the software activation. You can check this via mapking website http://www.mapking.com.sg/

3)where can i find mi gpsid?? (im using htc touch 2)
Garmin mobile xt software available in uSD card. Need to buy. Plug and play. Do not need GPS ID#.

4)htc touch 2 is consider as pda fone or a smart fone?? which map i can use or i shld where can i find it...which UNLOCK map i can use??
HTC Touch 2 us a Windows Mobile® 6.5 Professional smart-phone. Download our maps from this link viewtopic.php?p=167292#p167292. Rename map to gmapsupp.img and put in garmin subdirectory.

GMXT as downloaded from Garmin website needs a purchase an external Garmin GPS device to work

GMXT as purchased from Garmin, preloaded in microSD and available for Windows Mobile or Symbian device with built in GPS do not need to purchase an external Garmin GPS device to work.
