This thread is about the Holux M1000C Datalogger. This unit is different from the Holux M1000 (without the C) which is a bluetooth GSPR without the datalogging feature.

Has anyone experienced battery charging inconsistency with the Holux M1000C Datalogger? It takes a mini-USB for charging, but when I use any other charger than the one supplied, it depends on luck. Some USB chargers manage to charge the battery, but some others will not.

For those that will not, it will charge for a short while and the LED on the Holux will go off (indicates fully charged), but when you turn it on to use it, it will show the red low-batt LED.

Just wondering if everyone else who owns this set sees this problem or is mine a problem set.

Another quirk. The USB cable used for downloading the data from the Holux M1000C Datalogger is different from normal (internal configuration). If I use normal USB calbe, the software will not recognise the M1000C. Does anyone know what the difference is, and how to make compatible cables (eg. Add resistor, etc.)?
