hi ppl,

how are you doing? i've got this ipaq hx2750 with wm2003se for years. only recently, i bought a holux 271 cf gps. i need some help here... before going into software/maps installation.

when i plug in the cf gps, it detects it as new modem etc. how do i get the cf gpsr to work?

i tried to go straight to gpsproxy... but when reaching the "enter your physical com port" ... i don't know which one to select. (com4 has been set as virtual com port in gpsproxy)

currently i'm in US, will be travelling to other places next week... that's why i'm hoping to get this working.

thanks and really appreciate for your guidance, thanks again :)

I have no experience with Compact Flash GPS thus am in no position to advise you reliably. There is a chance that the software does not support CF hardware or you will need to figure out the correct hardware I/O assignments.

GPS: Nokia, iPhone, Garmin and up to 10 Hz NMEA driven. Lastest Nuvi 2565LM with GDR10.
All above link is not applicable to your case.

If you want to use Garmin MXT with non-Garmin GPS, you need to buy the GMXT from Garmin and I believe you also have a SD slot in your HP. In which case, you need to buy the GMXT in SD Card form. The downed version is for Garmin BT GPS receiver such as the Garmin 10x only. Others had got it working with non Garmin GPS receiver, but that amount to piracy of Garmin Software.
