Since the Mapking G12 already bundled with HTC, and also should c/w *.g12 map, but if you want, you still can download the *.g12 map from MSM, ( which i personally found that it is better! )

Thanks. Think I found out the problem - my laptop does not have the software to read g12 extensions.

Bro,

Since you are using HTC, try to look for the bundled g12 software from below link:-
http://www2.mapking.com/en/
You may have to download the Mapking G12 first before you download the g12 map from here.

Need anybody bought this type of bluetooth GPS receiver before?

Download the mapking r12 trial ver from http://www.mapking.com running the software on htc touch 3G,it shows device termination due to error.

Mapking R12 is only bundle to certain WM pda /phone. There is no trial offered as it not intended for retail sale. You can only download mapking 2007 trial version.

I have install the MapKing R12 into my HTC TD2, the map is quit old on March 2008. I try to install the new map from the first 2 page, but when it install is just blank and nothing.
Can someone teach me how to install and update the map, step by step from A to Z??
I have Garmin also, but I found out the Mapking more easy and better to use.
