hey, i just got my i780 recently. i noticed that the gps fixation is very slow.( slower than my first GPS pda-6515 or even dopod D810) I knew that i780 support AGPS ( enhanced GPS). when i click the XTRA Data download, and click yes when the box ( ...would be charged...) pop up then i wait for several minutes. I also try to turn on the wifi. I jus wonder whether i can download the XTRA data via wifi? and i start my samsung GMXT, it seem like did not help at all. I have tried several time and hard reset several time.

Is there any website for me to manually download the AGPS data for i780 ( like what i usually did with my 6515,it is really fast in fixation)? so that i780 can fix GPS signal faster without any charges.

i try it before thAT, IT does not work. I mean is there any website for me to download the XTRA data and then i copy into pda device memory to make gps fixation faster( like i go to http://gllto.glpals.com/7day/latest/ to download the LTO data then transfered to my 6515 in the past)

can someone guide me here, to activate gps on my unit.. I have a navigation software called ESRI ARcpad ,, all i have to do is to dectect the device on my unit,

please share your experience and expertise about the unit especially in gps.

you can send me via email... rtp_pangilinan@yahoo.com or just post it.

Hi, I've successfully installed Garmin XT and Singapore malsingmap on i780. However, the route details at the top of the screen gets chopped off and I'll get something like "keep left on ..."

Does everyone have this same problem or can it be resolved? I've used the same map on my Nokia E65 and the routes details are wrapped so I can see everything.

Thanks in advance

Samsung i780 Gpsproxy 2.2c error ?

#99 Post by seoknhc » Tue Oct 14, 2008 2:53 pm

Samsung i780

Sorry for the error, it mean like this - if I overwrite the GPSProxy Version 2.2a with GPSProxy 2.2c and run up the GPSProxy ver.2.2c.
After tapping the Start, the error shown "The Garmin Protocol Output extension failed to start: NullReferenceException"

#100 Post by shakyhand » Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:41 pm

Hi everyone,

I've been using my samsung i780 installed with Garmin Samsung Navigator.... been happy with it for quite
sometimes.... However, today when I launch the Navigator, got this message....

"Data type misalignment at Program address 0x03f966c8 in background thread NULL (main Initinstance)"

Anybody got any idea what the heck should I do???

Thanks
