do i also have to de-select the 3D buildings map?
I'm having the following maps selected and TMC still works.
  • Apac - Dem
  • 3D Landmark Singapore & Malaysia
  • City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2010.40

Dear Zeus73,

Are you certain it works with all 3 maps selected?

TMC still works with NavTeq / Garmin NT Sin-Mal Map 2010.40 only.

APacDem and 3Dbuilding are supplementary 3D landmark and 3D building maps that do not effect the functionality of the Traffic.

Garmin GTM 35 Traffic monitor

#16 Post by bropearl » Tue Dec 06, 2011 4:13 pm

Hi everybody,

Just wondering how the GTM 35 will work? does it track live traffic status, Traffic police ambush, auto reroute if road is busy?

I was thinking of getting it and running the cables hidden in the car compartments. (attach GTM cable to the internal power cables then run them up thru the pillars to the top windscreen, hidden in the plastic compartments) has anyone done this and will it effect the reception of the GTM cable? I only know that the attach black box on the cable needs to be outside for better reception but I saw the instructions that the cable is internal antenna. :-. :-?

Anyone can advise?

Thank you!! :tq:

Thanks for the prompt reply, Redshadow. now left with the question, will it affect the reception if I'm to hide the cable inside the car side pillars to the top windscreen??

Simple layman terms, it is just a radio receiver tuned to receive traffic messages at a certain frequency. There is a thin cable antenna that is plug to the GMT35 that you lay at front of dashboard. It is like home entertainment FM receiver where there is a cable for antenna.
