Hi guys,
Just wanna share with u all.
The wide screen GPS such as nuvi 200W, 600series, 700series, etc.. have the LCD screen size similar to Sony PSP. Hence one can use Sony PSP protective film on them. Not only for protection against scratches but it makes touching and panning the screen with finger nail smoother like never before...

I just bought @ N2 57.191 E101 45.430 for RM15* only... previously I bought similar but much2 smaller protective film at Camerashop for my dSLR LCD measuring 2.5" at RM49.00! ] :$gone: (*,)

*may be somewhere else can get cheaper.

I saw a very wide range of protective film for sale for all varieties of mobile phones at carrefour megamall.. Maybe you can find the size you want there. Quality is good too. Only 8 ringgit per piece.

I purchased mine from Zoneshield...for my Hp, digicam and TomTom...and I'll be picking up the next delivery at hotel in Singapore for the Nuvi 650.

These protective shields are tested and used on the heli's like the Blackhawks, and Apache fighter helicopters in the USA military...protecting the edge of those blades!!! Not cheap but warranty for life with no extra charge...incl P & P.

If you can buy locally at RM11 as quoted, it is a good price and question remains with the buyer, choice.... :)

I would say "carrefour megamall" would be inside N3 07.095 E101 40.624 Mid Valley Megamall.

Unless, prometheus classify another mall as mega. Searching AllPOIs containing "Megamall" in v2.11 gets me "Mid Valley Megamall" and "Berjaya Megamall" in KL. :-k

yep the carrefour at midvalley megamall. They have protective film for various mobile phones. Very wide range.. maybe you can find a size there.

I saw in Lelong.com before where they sell the similar protective film in a very large size. Big enough for notebook screen. That would be great for tablet pcs.

regarding the screen protector for psp, it's reflective while the nuvi screen is anti glare. wouldn't putting the psp protector take away the anti glare feature ?

also will it affect the performance of the touch screen ?

The "shields" as we get to regard it better, like the one I have on my GPS are incredibly sensitive and no glare either! It can withstand a zillion times under those pointy nails some guys have too...hehe!
