Question for a Mapsource Guru....

#1 Post by highonthai » Thu Aug 01, 2013 1:12 am

Getting a message when I try to open a map in Mapsource.

"Some maps could not be opened because the following mapsource products are not installed:
CN Thailand NT 2013.10[Eng]"

What can I do to open the map up?
Is there a workaround to view this map in MpS?
Any suggestions?

Most likely your map is not install properly. Try reinstalling and let us know where you got this map.

Do this at your own risk....!!!
To confirm Run>regedit.exe
Goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER >Software or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >Software to look for your map.
Don't change anything unless you know what you are doing...

Hope this helps.

I didn't know CN maps come with mapsource? I could be wrong but ...

In order to use a map on Mapsource, you need an "installer"

e.g. http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/viewt ... 02#p206302

which is the installer for MSM v6.25 for Mapsource

Bro bartmp8,

Using Gmaptool you can create an installer file using the GPS gmapsupp.img to be installed in Mapsource. Let's wait for his reply on where he got the file.

Thanks for the reply's guys,
I downloaded the map from a friend...

MoeyHC,
I also ran regedit.exe as you suggested and find nothing there. No software that looks like a map or even a garmin file?
