Yes, Sendmap & PatchImg software will disrupt the Address Search mode.
Alternative joining software is Gmaptool.

so using the GMapTool to join the maps won't disrupt the addr search mode? just to confirm before i do anything about it. thx for all your help and replied

hi so can anyone advise if using GMapTool to combine Jerome map with Malsing (free) map will allow the function of address search ??

I was successful in combining (with GMaptool) Jerome's 3.72 with Malsingmaps 2.27 retaining the address search feature. I just received my unlock keys for Malsingmaps 2.28 and will try combining it with Jerome's map soon. However if 2.28 indeed has the partial voice prompt problem as reported by others in this forum, then I will not proceed.

hi jchoong, just to9 check, when you combine Jerome map and malsinmaps directly (without extracting out SIN and Johor maps first), will you encounter overlapping issue? since the combined map now having 2 sets of SIN and Johor map tiles?

I am using Nuvi 200, my problem solved after installing v4.40 garmin software.

Credit goes to bro MoeyHC for his excellent gmaptool batch file. Yes you need to remove Joh and Sg mapsets from Malsingmaps before combining with Jerome's.

You don't insert map when contributing. You need to install mapsource and attach a .gdb file when you contribute. Please read thru the wiki for information on how this forum operates. Thank you.
