My first contribution.

The stretch of road between Old Airport Rd and Dunman Rd has re-opened.

Thanks.
Hi Bro Ivan2008,

Just a few pointers:

1) Pls read my Welcome Message
you'll find plenty of goodie links to help you contribute.
2) You are suppose to use Mapsource to attach your contribution.
3) Using Mapsource and a copy of the View only v2.30 locked map, you can avoid breaking copyright laws
because you are not suppose to attach 3rd party maps without permission.

Hi Bro bartmp8,

Thanks for your guidance.

Indeed the pic I attached was the map v2.30 in Mapsource. I just drew the missing road and cut and paste the relevant portion. I hope I did not infringe any copyright.

Thanks.

Sorry I didn't recognise the map. Where are the POIs? (or are you using screenshot from your GPSr/)
To me v2.30 looks like this:

Hi Bro bartmp8,

It is not a screendump from the GPS. It is a view on MapSource 6.15.3

The POI is the end of Old Airport Rd to the junction of Dunman Rd and Guillemard Camp Rd. In the v2.30 map, there is no road connecting these two points. The said road was closed for the construction of the Dakota MRT station.

It has since been re-opened. Now we can drive from Old Airport Rd direct to Dunman Rd as indicated by the red line in my pic.

Thanks.

For your information, this POI has already been contributed by bro silverbeauty here. Thank you.

If you are using the Open map (v2.15) search using Spell Name.

Bro dora, being a newbie, it helps if you read the WIKI. The wiki contains tons of information on how this forum operates including downloading of map. It makes the learning curve less steep and equip you with the necessary knowledge to get you started. Having said that, unless you map is the latest version, you can't use the "Address" function to search for an address. However, all is not lost. You should search for it this way > Where to? >Food, Lodging.. >Spell Name. You can either key-in the road/street name or HDB blk no. If you key-in "123", it will show all the HDB blk with no. 123 and you just select the one you are looking for. Thank yo.
