Will Solar Film Installed in CAr affect the GPS reception

#1 Post by astro » Thu Jan 29, 2009 4:01 pm

Thinking of installing the Solar film for my new ride and was wondering if this would affect the GPS reception. Some of my friends were telling me NO while others say YES....

Is Solar film the brand name of the window/windscreen tint?

If window/windowscreen tint, the more expensive ones with metallic stuff like V Cool will definately affect the signal reception

Hi Bro
fyi. Mine case.

3M - No problem with Nuvi 760 and Agis (Samsung Omnia).

I think Bro mnd_43 's advice is good as i understand there are different grades of solar film
