Hi
I would like to start this thread on the features I would like
to see in a Garmin product.. I have been using the GPS 276C for
many years now, along with 60CX, Etrex etc..

In my case I am talking about the Original Gps navigation
devices like the 276C where they are portable can float
on water has a MARK button etc.. However the general
idea can also apply to the Gps Enabled MAPS like the
Nuvi series.

Anyway I would like to start by saying that I would like
my 276C to have a MARK button that also allows me to
speak something about the waypoint and store that
on SD card.. Many times, I find I have so many waypoints
but no idea why I marked them..

Anyway feauture I would like to see is phone integration
whereby SMS can be used by the unit to forward waypoints
to a list of telephone numbers...

I would also like the units to have the Real Time Clock
batteries user servicable so that we dont have
to send the units back to Garmin for repair.

Right now, I have 2 276C units .. One has a Failed internal battery
and the other one eventhough the battery is ok keeps losing
the last GPS data it got and goes into autolocate mode all the time.

For me I like gps with buttons and a large screen
with a battery so that you can remove it.
