I certainly disagree to include speed trap and red light camera into this data. They cloud the display and most importantly are subject to change without us having the ability to update its data correctly. What's the use of such Data when they are all over the maps with 'zero'' accuracy when the day comes? We can only ADD... how do we eliminate obsolete DATA?

Yes, I also don't agree to have POIs like speedtraps, redlight cameras, speed limit, bus lane, etc. coded into the map. This way, people who don't like to have any of the POIs are powerless to do anything about it. For me, I am a minimalist as far as POI is concerned and it irks me to no end each time I hear redlight cam, speedtraps, etc. annoucement. Argh................... ](*,) :fire: Please DO NOT coded all the POIs into the map. Give user a choice to decided whether they want to have it. If they want, then just downloaded it. As it is not, people who don't like all this "irritating" POIs annoucement have their shaft it down their throat and they are powerless to do anything about it.

WOW!... Bro Storm, why the big reaction? Agree on the need to allow users to select their choice of installation. Any Hairy, Dicky or Tomy should be happy with the 2 new features offered here.... ..... Cheers!

Dear Bro'

Latest Official Garmin NT version was posted in Apr-10 (with JCVs)

Any idea about the scheduled next release with updated JCVs?

I agree with the view about providing option to the GPS user to decide on the POIs

We are close to releasing this new NT map, hopefully by this coming week. To concentrate on work of this new release, the usual weekly cgpsmapper version will be stopped.

Just a note, although this is also NT map, there are differences comparing to the NT 2009.40 or NT 2010.20 version that have been release previously.

adilothman wrote:Question: should the signages be bigger or just nice as it is? The examples are using 8.5. By default Garmin uses 9.9. We can make it bigger and cover the sky if we want to. What do you think?
Personally, showing the sky should be less important than the signages, meaning that wordings should be bigger for clarity and being able to read easily. We need to remember that we are driving and safety needs to come first. And that is a bit of a contradicting message in itself - if safety is what we need to prioritize, then wordings should rightfully be at its minimum (or done away altogether) and drivers just depend on clear, big arrows showing the way.....but I really like the signages, as I find them very helpful, so I'd vote to keep them in but made larger.

Keep up the good work and really appreciate all the hard work being put into getting these maps out for the general public.

Will it be released at garmin.com website first or at malsingmaps.com website first?
