tracking on a pc

#1 Post by ajay » Fri Oct 31, 2008 5:48 pm

what is the best way to get good tracklog (1 sec) running on a pc?
i tried gpsproxypc thinking it is the equivalent of the gpsproxy for PPC but looking at the menu, i didn't see anything to set for tracklog. any other software to recommend?

Yes you do, nroute + GPSgate = 1 sec track log. I'm using the Holux M1200 with nRoute. GPSgate is not free but is cheap... definitely worth the price (if I remember correctly US$19.90).

Oop. I was using a 10x, hehe. The last time I play with it on my collegue's computer, I just connect teh etrex to it via a cable.

What about using GPSproxy? It is free.

gpsproxypc is the first thing that i tried but it doesn't look like the one for PPC. nothing to select tracklog feature. looks like gpsgate is it then

Bro AJ, you may use GPSProxy for PC to connect nRoute with a non-Garmin receiver, while the 1sec tracking is done in nRoute.
