Bro Hardy,

Just a suggestion...have you tried running the application as administrator?
[right-click the MapKing application icon - think it's the 3rd option -> Run As Administrator]
Once again, ..just a suggestion O:)
The first point & click interface was probably the Smith & Wesson!

i think your com port setting have problem, must resetting a com port first... :D
