Columbus V-900 BT GPS Data Logger & GPSProxyPC v1.6

#1 Post by cwyap » Wed Nov 19, 2008 7:20 am

I hope the sifus here can help.

I just got a Columbus V-900 Bluetooth GPS data logger (comes with voice tag & nifty software to do some neat tricks).

Is there any particular COM port for the V-900 in GPSProxyPC's "COM port for GPS"? My XP says that V-900 is using COM port 8 but when I use that for GPSProxyPC's "COM port for GPS" - GPSProxyPC just doesn't want work (blank). I tried all the listed ports 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 that are shown in the drop down field ](*,) but result is the same. Baud rate - I switch back & forth between 4800 and 38400.

Oh yes, this is the version of GPSProxyPC without WSIAN's patch.

Any suggestion or tips will be much appreciated. :prayer:
