Users of Mac and Garmin gps thread

#1 Post by pathfinderz » Mon Oct 05, 2009 10:43 am

Let me start this thread for all Mac and Garmin GPS users. I am currently using Snow Leopard and just bought a Garmin GPS, I have done a simple search on the web and found Garmin Basecamp to do basic management of waypts/tracks...etc. I would like to know from other Mac users what other cool apps are there for GPS?

One program that I really like and have bought is "Photolinker" (http://www.earlyinnovations.com/photolinker/). It's great for geotagging your photos.

Two days ago I downloaded a program called "MyTracks" (http://www.mytracks4mac.com/). It looks very promising for editing your tracks. The geotagging included is not that good, but I'm still experimenting with it. I let you know in a couple of weeks if it is a buy or not.

From here on I will check a couple of times a week to answer any questions.

Jielus from Holland, currently traveling through Asia/Australia.
Working with a "Garmin Oregon 400t" and an "Apple MacBook". (No more Windows XP through Parallels or any other emulator.)

Hi Jielus.

I'm interested in your sig regarding Parallels. Am planning to buy it with a Macbook Pro instead of dual boot into Windows which requires a reboot. Do share.
