Problems installing Garmin BaseCamp software

#1 Post by Louise » Sun Mar 21, 2010 8:25 pm

I've previously been using Mapsource on my PC (with Garmin 60CSx), & have MalSingMaps installed. All works fine.
However, I have just got a new GPS unit, Garmin Dakota 20, for which I need to install Garmin BaseCamp software on my PC, to download waypoints, tracks etc. When I try to run BaseCamp, I get an error message telling me:
"There is a problem with the GM-MySin installation.
Please reinstall GM-MySin and start Basecamp again."

I have tried this several times, but still get the same result.
Please can anyone help? ](*,)

Older MSM mapsets may not work correctly in latter versions of Mapsource/BaseCamp, therefore I'd suggest you uninstall the older mapset and install latest MSM installer, available here: http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/viewt ... 29#p172629
