That means ..... "Garmin Mobile XT" still cannot support Junction View feature right? :-k
GMXT has long been discontinued. If I am not wrong, it was discontinued even before JCV became
mainstream in Garmin. No use flogging a dead horse :-'

You will need to get a "zip" program like win zip http://www.winzip.com/free or 7zip http://www.7-zip.org

Install one of these program and then unzip the MSM5.33 map file gmapsupp.img from this link : http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/viewt ... 5&start=30

Place the file into an SD card directory/garmin subdirectory

I've just bought a nuvi 1450 from US. Do we really need a SD card for the malsingmaps? Had anyone tried on this model with the method provided? No other settings required and just copy the extracted files to SD card? :tq:

As a newbie it is "recommended" to put map file into SD card/garmin
Nuvi is VERY unforgiving to any map data corruption and will refuse to boot up when this happens
This is no a recoverable error in most cases and you end up with an expensive paper weight.
You can still put maps into main memory/garmin, as it is your choice :-'

If you Nuvi has a SD card slot, then just follow the instruction by Silverbeauty about 2 posts above your post...

Basically means you buy an SD card (about 2G is good enough), create a directory called Garmin in this card, go to the link given by Silverbeauty and put the gmapsupp file into the Garmin directory in the SD card.

Load the card into your Nuvi, start up your Nuvi, go to your map selection, tick just the MSM map and untick the rest.

Than go back to the main menu and select a destination to go.....it should be working.

Cheers....

Oh Sexytoy,

Yes and No to your question:

1) Most garmin maps with JCV other than MYSG - yes
2) MSM NT 2011.xx - No
3) MSM v5.xx - yes but JCV limited to several junctions in KL only
