I am running Garmin mobile PC on my laptop, NOT garmin mobile XT !

FYI, the extgps is to use my hp as external GPS receiver, and I am trying to use my wm6.1 hp as external GPS

Thanks for your reply. Erm, the reason is that i want to try which software is more suitable to me, lol.

Check with you, i read from Garmin manual saying that the higher baud rate for 20x is only up to 82, but other device can up to 160, so much different? it confused me.. i don't know which brand of gps receiver should i buy now... coz u know, the garmin 20x pricing is much more exp than others..

Any advise? Thanks

if u want to use garmin mobile pc, garmin gpsr is the most compatible.
the most suitable software for u is the one which has the best map for the place u want to use it for. so in malaysia, garmin is the preferred choice because of the support we got here

erm.. the garmin gps map refresh rate is it acceptable? i heard from my friend telling me that poor refresh rate will guide u to wrong place or too slow to update your current position..

thanks for your advice..

i never heard ppl complaining about slow rate of garmin receiver before. does your friend actually use a garmin receiver & experience the problem himself?
