What was known as Assam Jawa highway is now LATAR and has been opened to public recently. Assam Jawa is one of those concession agreement which took 3 centuries to conclude but now the highway has taken shape ..

If you intend to take a ride down there this weekend .. be aware that this highway is not really complete .. sure the tarmac is all there but there is still work going on .. you try and see lah .. just be mindful of workers beside the highway ..

The highway surface is acceptable and not as bumpy as, say the ECE when it first opened. 33kms can be despatched very quickly and in no time you would have traversed all the way to Ijok.

Latar would be in next week's NT release. We are also sending the LATAR junction view images to Garmin for them to process.

Did LATAR today for usual seafood lunch at Kuala Selangor (from top end of GCE to K Selangor, only 30min). One of the boringest drive ever -- it's a characterless thoroughfare. :)

Dear mappers,

Just for info. Speed limit displayed in GPS are wrong based on on-site speed limit sign. Not that it critical to be update in MSM map but it can give better routing towards Kuala Selangor.

Details in attached .gdb
