Durian Durian - DD Saturday 19th of July @ Segamat New date!

#1 Post by mygis » Mon Apr 21, 2008 4:31 pm

Hi There, you have landed here because you are curious or simply because you love the fruit!

Just as a brief history of events to describe this thread; we love Durian and we are planning a DD which is open to all Nationalities, Genders and Age. This outing or DD (Durian Durian) was planned for the 5th of July then postponed a couple of times for the simple reason that it was not the season yet.

The party , or "DD"'s new official date is planned for the 19th of July. Some good members are willing to travel to Segamat on the 12th of July to check out if the season has started or not - between us I think that it is a trick so they could eat twice - . Nevertheless, putting all speculations aside, I believe that they are doing it for the good.

See you on the 19th at Segamat.

Here is how it started ....

Hello All,

Is there any Durian lovers here, anyone interested, please let me know. I have to check the best time to go to a certain place in Pahang to eaaat.

Cheers.

Yeah yeah yeah.... please stay South.... don't come North.... it makes the Durians here more expensive.... esp those with the Sin Dollars....

Currently the Hybrids here are going between RM8 to RM10 per Kilogram. Still waiting for our Balik Pulau Kings of Fruits to arrive. They are late this year, usually it starts April and end mid May. Wonder why.... Global warming?......cheers!
