Wiki does not display correctly on Apple's Safari

#1 Post by farulg » Mon Aug 27, 2007 4:04 pm

I'm having problems with the Wiki, the left portion of the main page is being cut out by the left column. This is on Safari running on Mac OS X. The forums look ok.

Works fine on Firefox though.

That would be CSS issue. If you're techie enough, perhaps you can modify a copy of the CSS and make it work with your Safari, double check that it works with FireFox, and then can get Antyong to use that amended CSS in our Wiki.

I did similar earlier, using Stylish for FireFox to amend a local copy of CSS. I understand Safari have similar feature to Stylish.

sabre23t, CSS isn't my strong suite but let me give it a go. Any pointers or examples you can provide?

This post viewtopic.php?p=3232#p3232 (and subsequent) describe what I did to troubleshoot the CSS on our wiki early on.

Stylish is a plug-in into Firefox that extend its capability to editing/displaying CSS.

CSS is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_Sheets . If you already know HTML, then CSS would be the next thing to learn for web authoring. :-$
