Hi All

I am a new member to this fantastic forum. I am married to a Malaysian lady and she is about to go back to Malaysia to visit the family and I will join her shortly. I've been looking for up-to-date maps for Malaysia for days now and I did find some fairly up-to-date .img files but never managed to import them into MapSource no matter what tricks I tried (yes, including M3  ).

Anyways, to cut the story short, I found THIS forum and it saved my a lot of hassle. Just downloaded the latest maps and enjoying planning a tour round Malaysia when I arrive :peace:

Thanks for the forum team :rokz:

cheers

Zak

Hi guys, it's Stephanie here!

New to the forum so I'm looking to learn from all the seniors here as well. =D>

I'm currently using Garmin Nuvi 1350 but I'm getting lazier after I installed Waze on my Galaxy S2 (bought from Lazada recently) so it's feels kinda wasted.

Did any one of you replaced your GPS device with an app on a smartphone?

Welcome stephanie to this site.

The short answer to your question is NO.

Why? I can find my favourite cha kuey teow place inside and I cant change the name of a road that is wrongly named. Worse of all, the accuracy sucks and its sucks the battery like nobody's business. So I stii prefer a standalone GPS for my positional and navigational needs.
