As above, I just could not locate Poresia Golf and Country Club on my Garmin 1460. I have just downloaded :
Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT2011.10
. I still can't find Poresia. Please help. Thanks.

Sad to say, it's known as "Club House" (N1.40490 E103.60313) in MSM.

On your GPS, touch Where To? -> Coordinates -> Format -> h ddd.ddddd -> Enter Coordinates.

Good Day to All, My Name is Jack Kwek, I live in Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru, I am a newbie on the GPS, Hope get the know the knowledge about it. Yesterday, I acrossed the bridge and bought me a Garmin Nuvi 1350 GPS, I read through the Manual how to use it.
Today, I would like to search an address "No. 4, Jalan Bakti, Kawasan Perindustrian Larkin 80350 Johor Bahru"
What are my step on my Nuvi is
Where To ? > Address > Spell City > Enter City= Type in "Johor Bahru" > Enter house number = Skip it > Enter Street = Type in "Jalan Bakti" Done
Result showing:
Jalan Bakti 16
Jalan Bakti 17
Jalan Bakti 18
Jalan Bakti 19
Jalan Bakti 20
Jalan Bakti 21
Jalan Bakti 22
Jalan Bakti 3

but why don't have "Jalan Bakti" ?
Am I done wrong on Which Step ?
I did trying several times, still cannot get the address result "Jalan Bakti",

first is tick, second is untick.

Using the MSM NT 2011.10, I managed to find Jalan Bakti by using > Where To > Address > Change Country (change to Malaysia) > Search All (skip "Spell Town", do not enter "Johor Bahru"). Skip "Enter House Number" by clicking on "Done" and next, "Enter Street" It will produce a list of places in Malaysia with the same road name. I believe the Jalan Bakti in Johor, you are refering to, is in Senai. It is shown in the result.

GPS is not infallible. Use initiative to find closest and best match.

Between City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2011.10 vs Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2011.10, I managed to find the closed match with City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2011.10

MainMenu - WhereTo -Address - ChangeCountry - EnterCountry (Malaysia) - Done - SearchAll - EnterHouseNumber (4) - EnterStreet (Jalan Bakti) - Done

A list of names appears.

Choose the first one Jalan Bakti. If finds the location and based on Postal Code of 80300, it is closest match to your address to find.... "No. 4, Jalan Bakti, Kawasan Perindustrian Larkin 80350 Johor Bahru

for your method as above, bypass keying the "Enter City" step, it will be showing whole malaysia "jalan bakti" result. Why we need to bypass the "Enter City" step ? if we enter the City name, it will be shorten the result list. Where can I feedback this problem and get the fix on the future map ?

For your mention Postal code, I can found the "Spell Postal Code" at Address search page when change country to Singapore, but it only search the Singapore's Postal Code, how about malaysia ? for "jalan bakti" place what i wonder is not in Senai. it is near to Pasir gudang according what my friend told me just now.

Bro SB is right. The GPS is not infallible. So your best chance of success is to expect the logical not to happen.

From my experience, the best results are obtained when you are less specific. Do not fix the city but search 'All cities' and search for the keyword of 'Bakti' instead of Jalan Bakti and see if there is a difference in results.

We have not programmed Malaysian Postcodes into the map for searching yet.
