Re: Garmin Etrex Vista Hcx VS GPSMap 60csx VS 76csx

I think it's better that you go to the shop and do a comparison among the 3. I have heard member saying 76csx display sux, 60csx sticky control button, vista with no external antenna connection and so on....good luck.

I have absolutely no complaints about my Vista Hcx, it does all that I want it to do.

I can get 3 m accuracy inside my car, so no problems about the lack of an external antenna and not being able to plug in an antenna.

Best part is the pocketable size, you can bring it any where without any problems.

Screen is a bit small for on road navigation, one of the nuvis would be better but the Vista Hcx can do things that the lower range nuvis cannot and is cheaper than the higher range nuvis.

I would recommend the Vista Hcx to anybody who asks

Buying a new Garmin [From USA]

#67 Post by alvinchua88 » Mon Nov 17, 2008 4:10 pm

Hi, I am a newbie from KL and going to LA/Vegas on Dec for 3 weeks.
I want to get a Garmin 760 at LA which cost around usd380 on the net.
Is it cheaper there or any shop in KL had better price with the maps included?
I mean KL/SEL map and USA - LA/VEGAS map included. Thanks your prompt reply :-?

Better buy in USA. It comes with full USA map and it is cheaper too compared to here. You can always load MY/SG map when you come back here.

The units you purchase here usually doesn't come with USA map.
