Due to the nature of the blackberry, GPS is dependent on the service provider to provider to provide this service. You would have to use the software as provided by Blackberry. / Google and they cannot use malsingmaps ](*,)

thx for the link silverbeauty, i was just wondering if someone had a windows mobile that was also configured to get mail via the BB. i'm rather new to what the mobile computing world has to offer, for me a phone is for making calls and a computer is meant to have cables sticking out of it's a$$.

GPS: BlackBerry Curve 8320 with Holux M-1000 GPS receiver
Hi all, just join this amazing forum, learnt a few new stuff already.

I have the above BB phone loaded with Google map and Amaze navigation software. Just bought a Holux M-1000 GPS receiver as well. Was very happy when the Amaze software pickup the GPS signal (better than sex!), BUT it can't locate Singapore address!

Need help on what is the preferred navigation software to work on BB phones in Singapore, much appreciated, thanks!

Try Google mobile maps at http://www.google.com/mobile/default/maps.html.
Much better than the default blackberry maps. I use it on my "BOLD"

In USA, Blackberry can use Garmin maps, unfortunately this is service provider driven and not available in this region

Thats true and I think, my Vodafone provider supports it too with the various BB range available but I have not taken up the offer... squinting and messing with all these gizmos is getting daunting lah... you are enjoying it I'm sure... all the best with you brudder SB.
