This is a normal situation for MSM v5.xx series map. If you read the instructions correctly, you'll notice it says:
Quick Installation Note:
- Extract & Copy gmapsupp.img to [storage card]\Garmin\
- Extract & Copy Product.JCV to [storage card]\Garmin\JCV\
Product.JCV is for nüvi® that support JCV. Currently only some of KL(Kuala Lumpur) JCV images. Join in to contribute the JCV photos so that the JCV collection grows.

This means not all JCV are encoded yet. Since yours is a localised unit, why don't you use the MSM 2011.xx NT? If
you require JCV.

I have updated my local Aeco Nuvi 3790 with the latest map & software update from Garmin Sg. Before using it (after the update), I noticed that all the maps were enabled (in use). Then I selected only Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT2011.30 as it was the only one updated. However, I notice that it doesn't show the junction view anymore (half screen display of sign boards). Perhaps I need to enable the other maps too. Which map will display all the junction views, lane assist, etc.? Must I enable the 3D map as well? (I don't really need to view the buildings in 3D).

Thanks.

You were right in enabling only the map you wanted to use. I don't know where you live as there is no indication in your profile, but please note that not all places have JCV. It only covers major junctions. Perhaps, you may want to drive around especially those with major junction to see if the JCV pops up. No, you are not supposed to enable other maps just to see the JCV. It doesn't work that way. The Garmin CN and MSM NT maps both have JCV and LA. The other MSM v5.xx map have JCV of only a few areas in KL.
Olight M20 R2
Jetbeam RRT 1, RRT 2
Fenix TK10, TK11 R2, TK12 R5, PD30, L1D, L2D, LD01, P2D
Romisen RC-W4, RC-N3
Ultrafire WF-606A, C3, A20, A10
MTE C3, C2-1
Surefire 6P

I'm in KL & most of the time in Bangsar & Damansara area. The half screen did pop up but it only showed the next few exits and their distances. Have not seen the pictures of signboards & arrows since the update.

This is what you need :
Apac - Dem APACDEM MS2.00 ( Optional, this is the 3D terrain map )
3D Landmark Singapore & Malaysia 3D Template ( Optional, this is the 3D landmark )
City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2011.30 ( This is the one you need to show JCV )
Disable rest of map in Nuvi.

Hi all,
Own a localise 1350 set.
JCV file <product.jcv> which came together when i download
MSM 2012 NT v5.80 from malsing web should be placed in hidden directory JCV folder rite?
So the old jcv file in the hidden directory should i delete?
Sorry if its a noob question as i just start familiarising myself with NUVI.

Thanks in advance...

Go buy a SD card
Create a sub folder on SD card /garmin
Put MSM 2012 NT v5.80 in that sub folder
Create a sub folder in /garmin/JCV
Put MSM 2012 NT v5.80 JCV files in that sub folder
Do not worry about old JCV files as JCV files is tag to map version.
