Bri Shmoi, looking through all your post, this is the situation you are in :

You have Mapsource 6.14.1 installed in your lappy.
You have Malsingmap v1.26 ( which is June 07 map ) which you are trying to install via mapsource into your 60CsX

Question, why are you still trying to install such an old map into your 60CsX when we have a newer free Jan 08 map available in our download section ?

Pleas use our newer Jan 08 map ( GM-MySin.exe [14.89 MB] ) which can be download from here : viewtopic.php?f=26&t=23

This is an installer. After download, run this file by double clicking on it. It will create a gmapsupp.img. This file should be transferred via windows explorer into either the main memory /garmin or the SD card /garmin subdirectory.

There is NO need to run mapsource to do the transfer.

Dear SilverBeauty,

You had get me wrong, I do not intent to load Malsingmap v1.26, instead, I had already get the Jan 08 map from the website, and execute the GM-MySin.exe, and it generated two file gmapsupp.img & setup help file.txt, but I can open the gmapsupp.img with my mapsource.

So I tried to connect to my 60CSX, and transfer the Map which is adtually I had downloaded from my PC previously, which is actually Jan 08 map, at the end of the map transfer, the error message pop up window apear, "some maps could not be open because the following mapsource product as not installed: GN-Malaysia/Singapore v1.26.

Ironically, the Jan 08 map which is inside my 60 CSX are install thru my mapsource software in my PC, because it was corrupted after I do and online update on my mapsource.

Tried to re-installed everything but fail.

you do not have the mapsource map of 1.26 thus Mapsource will complain. You need to find the installer for 1.26.

Hi everyone!

I just bought etrex vista Hcx.

Just wanna know how to view MSM in my Mapsource.

I already installed the Mapsource on my laptop...

The MSM also downloaded from:
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=23

I chose GM-MySin.exe and extract this file to C:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img

When opening Mapsource, the map don't come up. I only can view the default map.

Please help me!

but mine doesnt have "Gold" word after the map name...

Now I have to contribute 1st don't I?

nothing wrong with the one without gold if u only want to see the map on mapsource

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me what is map source and where to get ot from.
I have installed the GMMOBILEXT into my Nokia E71 phone and i cant find any map in it
and also cant connect to GPS.

Sorry as i am new to here. Hope anyone can help me.
