Newbie Saying Hello to MSM [Post your HELLO here] Part 2

#1 Post by bartmp8 » Wed Dec 31, 2008 2:22 pm

A big Hello to all the New Members of MSM. :welcome: to our forum.
May I direct you to our MSMWiki [Click here to go to Newbie Pitstop] if you have not done so.
Most of your initial questions can be found in the Wiki if you take the time to look patiently.

Let me remind all Newbies a few general matters . That is:
1) Never double post [posting the same question in more than one topic]
2) Never discuss, offer or ask for hacked/pirated/illegal softwares etc
3) Post your questions in its proper topic [e.g. don't upload tracks or POIs in Newbie Lounge etc]
4) Always search the Forum for the topic you are looking for. If you can't find one then you may start a new one.
5) Be courteous, show that you've made an effort in trying to solve your problem then ask for help.
6) PLEASE state your location in your profile. This will enable members closer to you to help you better.
7) Remember words on their own do not show emotions. Sometimes, what we type can appear very "angry" and
does not reflect what we wish to convey. Please choose your words carefully to avoid misunderstanding.
8) Being Computer illiterate is not a crime but not willing to learn is a sin.

Remember, the seniors here don't like to spoon feed newbies. You won't learn anything this way.
Newbie Lounge will be your sanctuary. You can ask most of your basic questions here without
the fear of being :whip: :waffen: :walled: :x :axe: .
But this does not cover you when you ask stupid questions. Pls have a look at the "stickies", these are
popular or more important topics. It can be found at the beginning of each Sub-forum index.

For Topics not "Stickied" please see:

Newbie Lounge Mini Index - View and Ask for Links Here

Pls look out for these topics:

Hello MSM et al,

Good day! Newbie, Vincent, here. Just got myself registered for MSM today.

Got my Kenwood KNA-430 in-car hide-away GPS and Parkard Bell Compasseo 600 handheld about two years ago, if I remember correctly.

Bumped into this fantastic Malsingmaps website after searching high and low for map update for my two devices. Still trying to digest all the do and don't here.

Appreciate any guide and advice pertaining to my two devices not found here. Thanks in advance. :tq:

Best Regards
Vincent Chong

Dear Friends,

Hi and Happy New Year to all.

Just got myself a Kenwood KNA-G431 hideaway unit. Looking for more detailed maps than the one that came with the unit.

Hopefully I will get my answers here.

Cheers...
