Hi, i got this 2 map files (gmapsupp.img and N Thailand Routable 6[1].20-bin 66181810.img) with me and i'm going to put them under same SD card, but i encounter problem. It seems like the 60CSx can only read from 1 map instead of reading from both maps...

Please guide me in putting them together...

You wll need M3 to install the thailand map to mapsource, then from mapsource send to your device. Mapsource will create another gmapsupp.img in your device, so your previous one you have to rename it if not it will be overwrite by the later.

If later you want to use them the earlier gmapsupp, just rename it back to gmapsupp lor.

Remember, your device can only rread gmapsupp.img at one time.

Hope it help and dun confuse you further.

As for combining both map together, , i think cannot... , can use one at a time. But if you know how to play with mapsource then chances are there.

Oh i see, meaning i need to save the 2 map in different SD card right...

So is there any map that is singapore-malaysia-thailand???

you can use patchimg to combined both maps into one gmapsupp.img

OK... here are some old instructions how to combine/create the GM-Mysin and GM-Borneo maps together
as one Gmapsupp.img file. This is the basic procedure. For your case, you may try using PatchIMG, press
the GetMap button to bring in the original Gmapsupp.img and the Thailand.img (please rename this to something
like a 8 digit numeric.img [eg. 23232323.img] ) . Then press Patch&Send. You should get a new
Gmapsupp.img file... goody luck...

Well , actually it is nothing secret.. I went back to basics and did not do the Mapsource route.

I'll probably update the wiki soon in the newbie section... or why don't you try update the wiki...

Basically, you install GM-Mysin and GM-Borneo

There will be a lot of files when you look under a folder /garmin/gpsmappers/mysin and /garmin/gpsmappers/borneo

I used PatchIMG (build 25, which allow you to add 2 unlock keys) to GetMap all the 7 image files (numeric.img) from Mysin folder.

Use GetMap again to get all the 2 image files (numeric.img) from Borneo folder.

Use GetMap again to get in 00001113.img (Singapore HDB car park entrance POI map).

Use GetMap again to get in 3 RoadPOI image files (which you must download from Members Map section). This will allow you to spell search to any road.

In total, I have 13 image files in PatchIMG.

Next I tick the radio button to create gmapsupp.img

Next I tick the radio button to enter unlock key.
- First I enter your first set of 25 digit unlock key.
- Then I press the Add Key button to enter the second set off 25 digit unlock key

I then press Patch & Send.

Hey presto... you get a gmapsupp.img file immediately. This file is automatically located in the last folder that you accessed... in my case, the folder containing the 3 RoadPOI image files. I simply copy this gmapsupp.img file out to you....

BUT!

You CANNOT route between the 2 maps i.e. you cannot set a destination in Thailand and make it route all the way from Malaysia. (Unless the mappers on each side of the border have agreed on common ground where to connect the maps).

He only asked if can put 2 maps into one ... he didn't ask if can route between Thailand and Malaysia.... so I assume he not so dumb ya ?
