Yes my unit is not localised. Its from US.
Tried both outside and inside also cannot. :(
For non-localized units, get the unlock code for MSM NT from here.
How to find the unit ID?
The unit ID is 8-10 charaters long and contains no spaces or dashes. Take nuvi for example, touch Tools -> Settings -> System -> About, and you will see the unit ID.

Re: How to Install Map to Garmin nuvi 1450 ?

davidku wrote:Hi,

I just purchased Garmin 1450 from Amazon.

I downloaded the map over here
http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/viewt ... 32#p175632

Unzip the zip file and saw only 1 file - gmapsupp.img

I plug in my USB to my GPS and file explorer pops up.

I copy this file - to my Garmin folder.
In my GPS Garmin folder, only this file available - GarminDevice.xml

However, I can't still view the map.

My question, .. do I need to use SD card in order to make it work ?
Is my step correct ? Thanks.

Nuvi 1300 - help needed to download singapore maps

#199 Post by Firestonez » Sun Jul 11, 2010 12:59 pm

Hi Everyone,
I need your expertise to download the Singapore map into my Nuvi1300.

I bought it in June in US. Then, I tried to do the following:
1. downloaded 4.26 map n saved inside the Garmin folder in my device.
But I still cannot see any Sing map at all from the device alone but when it is connected via my computer, I can see the file inside the Garmin folder. Really puzzled.

Really really appreciate anyone tat can help?

Thanks alot.
