Our maps are available for almost all Garmin units. Your Nuvi 57 shouldn't be a problem.
First you go to the download page for the latest map we have. This week its:
https://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/view ... 62#p214162
Select the map for newer units. Download, unzip. Put the gmapsupp.img into the Map folder. Make sure to back up any
existing maps using the same name otherwise the newer file will replace the older one.
Follow the tutorials here: http://malsingmaps.com/mediawiki/index. ... es_Pitstop
Good luck

Pretty much the same. Go to the latest Map, download and unzip.AntoineDem wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 2:20 amIs this process pretty much the same for all Garmin devices btw, Bartmp8?
If your GPS is a newer model, find the version for newer models.
For handheld and older models, just get the older version.
Map can go into either Garmin Folder or Map folder depending on models.
Do remember that if the map is gmapsupp.img, it will replace other maps
you have of the same name in the same folder. If you are using "Map" folder,
you can rename the map file so it does not clash with another file of the same name.
If you have another map of the same region, disable the older version. Running 2 maps
of the same area will confuse your GPSr. If you are still unsure, pls post a screen grab
of the folder you intend to use here. Someone can advice you. Be patience, its Chinese New Year
at the moment, so we might not be online

Good luck

Hi Bart8, I need your advice, I am trying to add in SG/MY maps which I just downloaded, its in my PC now and I wishto load it in to my Garmin nuvi.
But even after copy and paste in the internal storage, its still not showing up in my garmin nuvi.
I got to garmin nuvi, settings, my maps, I still see USA maps which this set comes with.
This set is bought 2nd hand, with updated USA maps. I wish to add SG maps in. I cannot find its pre existing map which ends with .

This is what I suggest. In your SD Card, do you have a "Map" folder?
Put it there. Avoid storing files in your Main Memory (device) in case
you stuff up anything. I have a feeling, if you want to keep the map in your "Garmin" folder
inside your device, it has to follow certain naming protocol ie. gmapsupp.img or gmapprom.img
Doing so may replace existing map you already installed and working. I am not sure about this as I
admit, its been awhile since I use Nuvi.
If you use a "Map" folder inside SD card, you can name the file whatever you want. As for the JCV file,
it goes into a "JCV" folder within the "Map" folder. Try that first and revert if its not working. I will try to
summon more "powerful" sifus to help you.

Hi p0o9i8,
As what Bro Bartmp8 suggested, better to put MSM map into your MicroSD.
Since your unit is capable of showing Junction View Image (during navigation & for certain areas only), the file names must not be changed.
Recommended directory. (where "xx" is your MicroSD directory)
xx:\Garmin <- to place gmapsupp.img & instaSearch.sid files
xx:\Garmin\JCV <- to place the product.jcv file
Regards,

The directory name in your SD card should be "Garmin" & not "Garmin SG".
Where did you get GmapsuppSG2.img from? Malsingmaps map you downloaded from this forum already came with Singapore map.
If you want to use the gmapsuppSG.img file, you should create as below directory (where "xx" is your MicroSD directory):
xx:\Map <- you can place your SG map here with any file name you like.

p0o9i8 ,
Pls remember to put your product.JCV file inside a "JCV" folder within "Garmin" or "Map" folder.
I don't know what SG map you have at the moment but you cannot run 2 maps of the same area together
in your GPS. If you are running MSM map which has a complete SG map, pls untick the gmapsuppSG2.img.
Running 2 versions of the same map will cause error because each map will have its own routing data.
BTW, MSM also includes Brunei.
