ok thanks. can you give me the contact detail of mapking malaysia?
is it possible to purchase online? the online purchase page is like a maze, can never find the right product

i had just tried to install the trial version of mapking 2007 for s60. it ask for the registration code which i suppose to key in my IMEI on mapking page and got it. However, i am stuck in this page where i'm not sure which link i should click. i am using nokia E51. so common sense tell me i should click other model, it will ask for product authorization code which i dont have; where as for 6110, n95 and n95 8GB, it will ask for IMEI.

off topic, the mapking format map from malsingmap can be used for the both symbian and pocket pc version of mapking 2007 right?

Thanks and please advise.

Aiya, conclusion is, they are not ready to sell mapking s60.
And no, malsingmaps has no map that support mapking s60.

clueless about gps

Hello MSMians

apologies for my total lack of knowledge and ignorance... but just wondering about the Malaysian maps etc.

I'm hoping to buy a Sat Nav from abroad - not necessarily a Garmin... maybe TomTom or unbranded one. They won't have malaysia-singapore map downloaded in it. So I'm just wondering about the download from malsingmaps.com..... can i still install it on the SD card like usual by forming the /garmin folder on the SD? (even if it's not a garmin sat nav). Does it really have to be a Garmin?

Is there any other downloads i could find to make my generic Sat Nav to work?

Many thanks. :)
kind regards y'all

Our maps are "designed" to be use with Garmin and related platform. Mapking also
accepted but (as I don't use Mapking) not sure if for all versions of Mapking.
If you are thinking of getting Tom Tom, you may as well kiss us good bye now.
Pls have a look HERE and also some other threads within Newbie Lounge to see
what can be used with MSM and what can't.

As long as it is GARMIN, it should be fine.

btw, I think you posted this in the wrong sub-forum. Should be in Newbie Lounge.
If some Taiko can shift this, I'll merge it into one of the sticky inside Newbie. Thanks

i think this thread should be sticked. too many similar questions asked but unfortunately most of 'em purchase the product before asking
ask not (just) what malsingmaps can do for you
ask what you can do for malsingmaps (also)
