#1 Post by Zerot » Fri Jun 20, 2008 9:27 pm

I've been reading HERE but still want to ask bros who are staying
there for a few pointers on where to go since i'll be there for 6 days....

Is Sentosa Island a big island? Is it enough to spend only half day there ??

Read this website http://www.sentosa.com.sg.

Dont think half a day you can see all the attractions unless you 'ride a horse and see the flowers'.

Bring sun block as it is very hot. Go during weekend and you can see alot of beach wawa.

Important point to note is dont go if it is raining. Ask the counter for one day pass to see several attractions, it is cheaper than buying individual tickets.

At night there a paying show "song of the sea". This one is better then the free musical fountain's show. Show start at around 7+pm, usually very crowded for the first show, next show will be around 8+pm.

Enjoy.

Hi, Zerot

So how are you coming over to Singapore? Flying over or driving over?
First time coming over?
And what type of places you would like to visit? Main Attractions (Fun and Activities), Historical like the Museums, Shopping.
So that we can advise you accordingly.

Btw is this a family outing?
Everyone contribute a bit, eventually we can enjoy and benefit more in our navigation.

If I understand correctly, you probably have several places in mind while in spending some savings on sparkling, spanking Singapore at the shops but would dedicate a good day at Sentosa for a start, after waking up, finish breakfast and drive to the island or u're at the Shangri La itself, then by the time you walk about (don't drive as there are shuttle buses that ply about at strategic points) exploring the island, walking is the best way to kill the whole day and see most of it before you drop exhausted when darkness falls... but you would have discovered alot more than Robinson Crusoe would... its yr challenge...

I did, leave the car behind and stretch yr muscles... good therapy to spare your stamina in Singapore!!! \:D/

If driving a foreign car into S'pore, may want to check the reqm't for IU.

Also, cameras give you an idea of the congestion both ways at both Tuas & Woodlands. Here's a link

And if someone cuts the queue in front of you :fire: , pls don't honk - can kena fined or barred from entry.
