Holidays @ Sabah! Pics Uploaded!!!

#1 Post by civic98 » Fri Apr 30, 2010 2:13 pm

I'm off to Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday (4 May), heading straight to Poring and Kinabalu Park. Going up Mt Kinabalu on 5th, down on 6th and then off to Manukan Island most probably, and I am leaving from KK back to KL on Saturday (8 May). Yet to have the whole itinerary confirmed, any suggestions or advice??? Thanks in advance!

There are 5 main islands at TAR Park Manukan, Mamutik, Sulug, Sapi and ..... haha forgotten. Catch a boat at Jesselton Point. Arrange with the boatman on the time for pickup. BYO Food and drinks recommended.

You can trek at Kinabalu Park or Tun Fuad Stephen Park at Bukit Padang. Nice spot to view the sunset too.

You can vieew the sunset anywhere along the waterfront. No need at Sutera Harbour. There are 2 hotels at Sutera Harbour : Megellan Sutera and Pacific Sutera. Pacific is cheaper. Or you can try Shangrila Tanjung Aru

Stay at the higher floor of Promenade Hotel facing the sea with a view of Sutera Harbour, can also see the sunset.

Bro Civic, try Monsopiad Cultural Village, bit pricey for the local sabahan tourist but highly educational
for Orang Semenanjung. Its in the map.

If you have time, a one day trip to the Manukan Island will be enough.

Went there last year but did not climb the mountain and my trip to KK > CLICK HERE
