I fully support that view too... at home now.. I have all 4 computers hooked up instead than to let the WiFi run the connectivity even though my modem is WiFi based. It gets switched off.

The other time I used it was while waiting for my car serviced next door to a MacDonalds... I sat inside and paid a 5-hour T-Mobile online subscription despite only using it in under 2,40minutes which was still cheaper than a 1-hour tariff charge.

Took that moment only to browse and visit Forums that signs me up by default recognition... so no need to add in passwords separately.

I wouldn't dare trust depending/using WiFi or WiMax in public nor at home either most of the time and the speed with using the UTCP cable (correct me if this is wrong) delivers better speed too. I have a 5m cable with me when I travel should some places abroad lack the length when connected. At Cuber cafes... I use my own lappy too, I feel much more comfortable with my own product.
Now, we are traveling with two, a Mac as well... and it has its own type of cable....haiyyaaahhh!!!

Butttt, it can go WiFi....so thats a relief.

You can have an inverter in your car for the modem.
